Quay Place Resident Artist
Hannah Aria is the new resident artist at Quay Place. She is relatively new to the art scene, launching herself as an emerging artist in the summer of 2018! She brings beautiful pieces to life using 3d design and mixed media. These pieces are an ideal focal point for any room and will no doubt initiate discussion from visiting observers. The works of Kerry Darlington inspired her to explore the medium of resin and began an obsession with three dimensional embellishments. As a young art student, Hannah was highly influenced by the ground breaking conceptual artist Tracey Emin, who had begun to push the boundaries of modern art and perception.
Hannah is hosting ‘Creative Change’ weekly workshops at Quay Place every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm. No need to book, just come along and join in. Work from these workshops will go on display at the ‘Beyond Plastic’ display in Colchester between 3rd and 29th August.
