Thursday 21st September - 6.00-7.30pm
Having meaning and purpose in our lives can give us a reason to get out of bed in the morning, to persevere in the face of adversity and the resilience to cope with life challenges. But our need for meaning and purpose can also leave us vulnerable when we are struggling to find meaning and purpose. In this evening talk, we will explore:
- How meaning and purpose can protect mental health and wellbeing
- Why suicidal thoughts might be nature’s telling us we are in need of meaning and purpose
- How the powerful technique of reframing can help us to find meaning and purpose – and therefore resilience.
