Having space for the mind to relax and the body to be in an effortless state of motion has always been important to me. For years I found it in sports such as windsurfing, surfing and cycling but the most powerful tool I have ever come across to allow the body and mind to relax and ‘let go’ is Qigong.
In 1997 an insightful Reiki Master introduced me to the practice of Qigong and started me on a transformative journey of discover. On this journey I have been fortunate enough to have studied with some of the most widely respected teachers in Europe and China and discovered significantly more depth and potential in the practice than I ever dreamt was possible.
After graduating from the 2-year teacher training programme run by the College of Chi Kung in 2005 I went on to study and qualify to teach multiple forms of Qigong before discovering a practice known as Zhineng Qigong.
Since 2010 I have dedicated my personal practice and teaching to the practice of Zhineng Qigong. For me, I find it to be the most complete and powerful system of Qigong I have experienced and I have met many inspirational teachers whose ability has far exceeded what I considered possible.
Locally I run practice groups and workshops as Energy Play Qigong (www.energyplay.co.uk), As a founding partner of 3 Monkeys School of Qigong (www.3monkeysqigong.co.uk) I have been training Qigong teachers and arranging retreats since 2013 and I also work in the corporate field as The Green Chair (www.thegreenchair.co.uk).
My passion is in finding simple, effective ways of expressing the understanding that resides at the core of the practice of Qigong and I believe there is huge potential in providing practices that are simple enough to be memorable, whilst being profound enough to support deeper exploration.
